Allah SWT has instructed mankind that the demise of all life\non Earth will come one day. And once that has happened, we will all be\nresurrected and the Day of Judgement will commence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, before this event occurs, there are indications\nthat the final hour is approaching. These indications have been taught to us\nthrough various hadith of the Prophet SAWS and they can be split into two\nareas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first signs are the major signs. These are truly\ntremendous events that will indicate the final hour. Amongst these we will\nwitness the return of Prophet Esa, aka Jesus Christ, peace be upon him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, before the handful of major signs are a larger\nnumber of smaller events that will occur as an indication to mankind that the\nfinal hour is approaching. These are referred to as the minor signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The imam reminded us of ayat from the Quran that remind us\nof this topic. Firstly, it\u2019s the first ayat of Sura Al-Anbya which is\ntranslated to say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u02f9The time of\u02fa people\u2019s judgment\nhas drawn near, yet they are heedlessly turning away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And 18th<\/sup> ayat of Sura Muhammad which is\ntranslated to say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Are they only waiting for the\nHour to take them by surprise? Yet \u02f9some of\u02fa its signs have already come. Once\nit actually befalls them, will it not be too late to be mindful?<\/p>\n\n\n\n And so dear brothers, what are these minor signs? Todays\nreminder will outline a few of them to help illustrate where we are in the\ntimeline towards the final hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Prophet SAWS said: “When\nhonesty is lost, then wait for the Hour.” It was asked, “How will\nhonesty be lost, O Allah’s Messenger (\ufdfa)?” He said, “When authority\nis given to those who do not deserve it, then wait for the Hour.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Other minor signs are earthquakes increasing in number,\nbloodshed increasing, alcohol drunk in great quantities, time will feel to pass\nmore quickly, authority will be given to people who do not deserve it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Dear brothers, when we study these minor signs, it is easy\nto feel fearful of where we are at. Some scholars state that almost all of the\nminor signs have been achieved and that there is only the major signs left.\nHowever, the point isn\u2019t about where we are at, the point is about what we do\nwith this knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Allah SWT knows us better than we know ourselves. We were\nplaced in this time and place by Him and His wisdom. It was always our destiny\nto be born and present in these times and so we use that awareness to remain\ncalm and act accordingly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n And so this reminder concludes with 3 tips of what we should\ndo regarding the information on the minor signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nobody knows exactly where we are at in the timeline until\nthe Hour.
